TheBestOfYou does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers. All data stays only on your device.

Local storage

The app stores the following data in browser localStorage:

  • Profile (name, age, gender, height, weight)
  • Daily meals and calories
  • Workout log entries
  • Weight history
  • App settings (dark mode, favorites)

This data never leaves your device.

Third-party services

The app uses these external APIs for food search:

  • Spoonacular API - food database search
  • Open Food Facts - barcode product search

These services only receive search terms or barcodes, not personal data.

Error tracking

The app uses Sentry for technical error reporting. This includes only anonymous technical info (error messages, browser type), not personal data.

Data deletion

All stored data can be deleted at any time:

  • In the app: Profile → Delete data
  • Browser settings → Clear site data
